The Dangers of Skipping A Detox

At some point during the week, you experience fatigue, and most weeks up to multiple times within the week. Whether it be first thing in the morning from an exhausting prior day or from the accumulation of responsibility during the week. If you feel groggy after a night’s rest, are craving naps throughout the day, or have irregular sleeping patterns is your cue that it’s time to clean things up on (2020). However, this is just one indicator that your body is working overtime to correct itself.

Over the fast-paced hustle and bustle of the week, the body can get overloaded by toxins, and when this happens, our detox organs- the liver, kidneys, lungs, gut, and skin get knocked out of balance. Given the increase in disease and new viruses, paying close attention to what our bodies communicate is imperative. So when you are experiencing skin issues or can’t stay awake, realize that it is time to detox.

 We come into toxins from many places, including air pollution levels and pesticide exposure from non-organic foods. While our liver, kidneys, and lymphatic system play a significant role in removing biologically harmful compounds, our bodies have not evolved to deal with the growing number of toxins we unknowingly interact with every day, which overwhelms our detoxification organs causing toxin overload (Advanced Health).
